Goals and Planning for Educational Programs

For kindergarten through fifth grade, students will explore the history of animation and take part in their own short animated movie to gain a hands-on understanding of the animation process.

Students in sixth grade through eighth grade will discover the importance of storytelling in animation by engaging in interactive activities focused on the concepts of character, setting, and plot or they may create storyboards that illustrate the outline of their story.

Students in ninth grade through twelfth grade will discover how special effects are used to make animation more interesting and realistic and how creative techniques have evolved to make animation more expressive and engaging. They will also be able to experiment with robotic animation.
